Tribal Language Festival 2026 was organised by the Mizoram Youth Commission in collaboration with the Tribal Research Institute on 26 October 2026 at the I&PR Auditorium, Treasury Square, Aizawl. The event featured a translation competition and a storytelling competition, hosted by Lalremruata Tuallawt. The welcome address was delivered by Mrs V. Lalmuanpuii, Secretary of the Mizoram Youth Commission.
The competitions commenced at 11:00 a.m. and concluded at 12:00 noon. Following the lunch break, the host announced the results, after which prizes were distributed to the winners.
Five students from the Department of English, Government T. Romana College, participated in the competition. All five participants—Grace Vanlalrinchhani, Peter Kam Sian Khai, Rohan Sunar, Rosalyn Malsawmsangi, and K. Lalngaihawma—are students of the first semester. Among them, Rosalyn Malsawmsangi secured second prize, while K. Lalngaihawma won third prize, bringing recognition to the college through their achievements.
