CULTURAL ACTIVITIES IN GOVT. T.ROMANA COLLEGE
As one of the best practices of the college, is to promote Unity and Integrity of the nation , revive and uphold the traditional values and culture of our own state and learn to appreciate the same of the other states of India, the college has institutionalized various practices as follows.
1. The College has a cultural Club called the Thingsiri Cultural Club which is the first club of an educational institution which is to be officially registered under the Art and culture Department, Government of India.
2. The Thingsiri Cultural Club has qualified instructors that teach traditional dances to the students. The dance classes are organized after class for everyone who is interested.
3. The College organizes (every year) atleast one cultural program such as Cultural Day, Winter Gala, a cultural festival (Natya Sangam) or a cultural exchange program with other states.
4. On important occasions or assemblies, teachers are appointed to speak on chosen topics on moral/traditional values such as, ‘Respect for Elders’ , ‘Care and concern for the differently abled (physically Challenged), etc.
