Following the recent Government notification (No. B.13021/2/2021-HTE/Pt-I Dt. 26.02.2021), Government T. Romana College re-opens its Campus from 1st March, 2021 after the closure of all Higher Education Institutions in Mizoram since March 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic. Off-line and Online Classes for all Even Semesters will be conducted alternately as per routine worked out by the College. The College has constituted Task Group on Implementation of SOP on Covid-19 issued for HEIs in the State by the Govt. of Mizoram on the 26th February 2021.
For the 3rd Cycle Accreditation, Govt. T.Romana College was accredited by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a CGPA of 2.27 on a seven point scale at B Grade valid for a period of 5 years from 25.01.2021. The College was visited by a three-member NAAC Peer Team during 19th – 20th January, 2021. NAAC informed the Institution that the Peer Team report was approved by the Standing Committee constituted by the Executive Committee to examine the peer team reports and declare the accreditation results. Govt. T.Romana College was accredited by NAAC for the first time in 2007 with C++ Grade. It was again accredited for the 2nd Cycle in 2014 at B Grade with CGPA of 2.19. As directed by NAAC, the SSR and Peer Team report on institutional accreditation will be uploaded in the College website later.
January 19: A three-member National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer Team visited Govt. T. Romana College at their location in Republic Vengthlang for accreditation of the College. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in India. The Peer Team will assess the College on 19 and 20 January. The NAAC Peer Team comprised of 1. Chairperson: Dr. Mohammed Basheer (Former Vice Chancellor, University of Calicut, Kerala), Professor, Assam University, Silchar, Cachar, Assam. 2. Member Coordinator: Dr Raj Kumar Kothari, Professor, Department of Political Science, Vidyasagar University, Midnapore, West Bengal. 3. Member: Dr Allwyn Mendoz, Principal, Saint Claret College, Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh.
Currently there are 42 teaching staff and 17 non-teaching staff with 1320 students studying in the College.

(1) Questions will be given online 5 minutes before the commencement of the Examination.
(2) Answer should be hand written and only on one side of A4 size paper.
(3) Photograph or Scan copy of answer script must be submitted within 30 minutes after completion of the stipulated time i.e 2 hrs., no answer script will be accepted thereafter.
(4) Student must clearly write their ROLL NO, SUBJECT and NAME of The Paper on the first page of the paper.
(5) Page no. should be given in all the answer paper.
(6) Students may submit photo/Scanned Answer papers either through Email/WhatsApp to their concern dept.

A National Webinar on “Impact of Covid-19 on Migrant Workers, Employment & Economy: Special reference to Mizoram” will be organised by Govt. T. Romana College, Aizawl, Mizoram & Mizoram Youth Commission, Govt. of Mizoram on 19th August, 2020 at 7:30 PM.
CONCEPT NOTE:
With the outbreak of Covid-19 the impact on everyday lives has caused immense stagnation and halt among the migrant workers. Though there is no official data/record, thousands of migrant workers from Mizoram working mostly in the service sectors in different parts of the world has chosen to return home. The maximum numbers are from industrial/ IT capitals of India viz., Delhi, Bangaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, etc. These workers do not simply choose to return because of the lost their jobs but encounter with racial discrimination in the midst of the pandemic. Insecurity with joblessness coerced them to return home for safety but with unstable mind. To countered the hardship of this migrant workers, the Mizoram Youth Commission MYC took a bold initiative try to prepare a proper plan in order to provide at least minimum basic security to secure a job. As per the official records, there have been nearly 2000 migrant workers registered themselves under MYC and the process is still evolving.
In the above context, Govt. T. Romana College, Aizawl in collaboration with MYC plan to organise a National Seminar on the impact of Covid19 with special reference with Mizoram
vis-à-vis other parts of India particularly North East. The objective of the seminar is not only to creates awareness on the issues of migrant worker and their related problem but it also aims to provide a platform to generate knowledge on how to encounter the challenges brought by the pandemic. The seminar will also result in giving suggestive measures to the policy maker including the State Government to make a proper plan in providing basic minimum security among the rapid growing youth work force.
