The Department of English, GTRC, in collaboration with the Mizoram English Literacy Society (MIELS), organized a Literature Campaign at Govt. Chaltlang Higher Secondary School on May 21, 2025.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness among higher secondary students about the value and relevance of studying literature. It also highlighted the academic and career prospects within the field and introduced students to the undergraduate English Literature syllabus offered by Mizoram University.

Mrs. Catherine Lalhruaitluangi chaired the session, presenting an overview of MIELS and its objectives. Dr. Vanlalchami delivered a talk on the meaning, scope, and significance of literature, while Dr. Lalrinmawii Tochhawng provided insights into the UG English curriculum.
