A collaborative meeting of the IQAC Coordinators and Alumni was held on 16.05.2025 at 11:00 A.M at the Meeting Hall, Govt. T. Romana College. The Principal, the IQAC Coordinators and eight Alumni members, including the President and the Alumni Secretary, were present. The Joint meeting aimed to enhance the consolidation and coordination between the IQAC and the Alumni. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Dorothy Zonunsangi, Coordinator, IQAC.

She extended a warm welcome to the Alumni and introduced the Assistant Coordinators of the IQAC, namely Dr. Rosy Lalrinsangi, Dr. Sakhawliana and Dr. Joseph K. Lalfakzuala.
Thereafter, the IQAC Coordinator invited the Principal, Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki, to address the meeting. As invited, the Principal welcomed the Alumni and encouraged them to support the IQAC in the forthcoming AAA and the 4th Cycle of the NAAC assessment. She further stressed the Alumni's crucial contribution to the College's development in the previous NAAC Assessments. Subsequently, IQAC Alumni athe IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Dorothy Zonunsangi, outlined the various initiatives undertaken by the IQAC to ensure quality maintenance and enhancement in preparation for the forthcoming AAA and the 4th Cycle of the NAAC Assessment. She further discussed various issues related to the forthcoming Assessments, highlighting the significance of documentation, donations, Alumni feedback forms, and the Institution’s past performance in the previous NAAC Cycles.
Dr. Dorothy Zonunsangi further highlighted the importance of reinforcing the bond between the Institution and its Alumni as a crucial factor in achieving good grades for NAAC Accreditation. Besides, the IQAC Assistant Coordinators also advised the Alumni to be proactive and vigilant, particularly concerning financial issues. They further recommended that accounts be maintained systematically and prepared for a financial audit at the earliest convenience. Subsequently, the Alumni Secretary, Robert L. Tlau, also reported that they decided to organise a felicitation programme for Alumni who have recently made significant achievements.
During the interaction session, Mr. Isaac Ramdinthara, the President of the Alumni Association, articulated their commitment to collaborating with the college in various capacities. The meeting resulted in the creation of a WhatsApp group for IQAC Coordinators and the Alumni Office Bearers, aimed at strengthening the bond between the IQAC with the Alumni, as well as facilitating the exchange of information and suggestions relating to preparations for the 4th NAAC Cycle. The meeting concluded with photos to commemorate the occasion. Overall, the Joint meeting programme was highly productive and beneficial.
